“The Island at Hidden Harbour’s first “Shoreline Clean-Up Day” on June 16, 2018 was a huge success. Twenty- three volunteers–armed with trash bags and disposable gloves–attacked the shoreline and marsh areas closest to the buildings searching for trash. One worker sported chest waders. Another slogged through the thick brush with boots. And one person used his kayak. What did they find? Plastic bottles, cans, styrofoam, heavy wood planks and even a large tire! The mound of trash after just a few hours was impressive!! Thanks for the enthusiastic support of this event. The shoreline is definitely cleaner and the wildlife is happy!!!”     Donna and Dick Reid, Clean-Up Coordinators
